Masarap na Afritadang Manok (Chiken Afritada)


Ingredients:


  • 2 pounds chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 4 pieces potatoes, cut into 4 or 5 pieces
  • 1 onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 or ¾ cup soy sauce
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • ½ cup green peas
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • patis (fish sauce)or salt
  • pepper to taste
Instructions:
  1. Marinate the chicken together with lemon juice and soy sauce and set aside.
  2. Heat the oil, garlic, and onions.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and fry until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes. Use and add marinated juice.
  4. Ready to pour the tomato sauce and water. Let it boil and allow to simmer for 25 minutes until the chicken became smooth and cooked.
  5. After add potatoes and carrots,cook for 8 minutes until the potatoes are cooked.
  6. Fish sauce or salt and pepper would be tasty.
